Plot/Intro:
Lethbridge Academy for the Magically Gifted was completed in 467 A.D. by its three founders: Liam Fitzpatrick, Keenan Healy, and Moira O’Shea. The original castle was built in 239 A.D near the Irish coast. It was used as a place of residence for the Lethbridge clan. Eilinora Lethbridge was the last remaining resident of the castle and descendent of the Lethbridge clan, for she had no children of her own. It was stated in her last will and testament that her castle was to be transformed into an academy for only the most knowledgeable and skilled magical students through out the world. She entrusted this duty to the three founders, who were at the time of her death in 429 A.D her closest and loyal friends. It was some time until they had all the details sorted out, such as the appointed members of the Board of Directors, and finding suitable teachers. Finally, the school opened its doors in 467 A.D. and received lots of praise from wizarding society.
The school closed its doors for the very first time in thousands of years in 2004 to undergo remodeling and a few more enchantments to enlarge the inside of the castle, considering it was so small to start out with. Now it has reopened and it ready for the new school year to begin.
Fitzpatrick House
The lively, eccentric, cunning, and mischievous Fitzpatricks dwell deep below the castle in a cave-like atmosphere around the corner from the pool. Some people like to joke around that they stuck the Fitzpatricks underground so no one would have to listen to their outrageous parties, or reoccurring fist fights. For the most part, it’s true. The students of the Fitzpatrick house never miss up a chance for a party, and they often have an ill temper. No matter, these guys and girls are loyal, friendly, athletic, and always make for a good time.
Healy House
The book-smart, logical, and narrow minded call the Healy common room home. They are the shy and innocent ones of the group, never really bothering to go to parties when there is so much work to do. Though they are shy, they are also know to be quite comical when loosened up, but also tend to be clumsy and awkward. But, Healy students aren’t all saints. Most can be manipulative, and they have a thirst for power when it comes to the academic ladder, and aren’t afraid to take advantage of situations. They also happen to be unusually lucky.
O'Shea House
Snobs. That is the one word most of the residents of Lethbridge associate with the O’Shea House. Yeah sure, the majority of the students sorted into this house had their parent’s buy them a place here, but not many people know is that these calm and collected students are actually quite bright. The select few chosen to follow in the steps of Moira O’Shea are incredibly well groomed, knowledgeable, and classy people who can be manipulative but loyal to those who benefit them.
--------------------------------------------------------
The Sorting Regulations are in it's self rather ridiculous. However, the request to have the students drink a specified potion then lick their or their parent/guardian’s wand was a request scribbled not so expertly at the bottom of Lady Eilinora Lethbridge's Last Will and Testament. Though the writing was messy it was identified as Lady Lethbridge's, no one knows exactly why or how it was added in at the very last minute. Some suspect it was a twisted inside joke with her friend and school founder Moira O'Shea, others just think she was drunk and thought it would be funny. To this day, no one knows, and it forever shall remain a mystery....unless you can get Eilinora Lethbridge's living picture drunk and get her to come clean about her little fiasco.
