Firestar stared around the battle grounds of FourTrees. It seemed ironic to him that the place where the Clans met in peace every moon had just had a battle on it. He jumped as a figure appeared next to him and touched his shoulder gently. It was Sandstorm. “We have to go!” She whispered urgently, glancing back at the Clan.
Firestar nodded and turned back to the Clan. They stared expectantly at him, and he sighed. Padding forwards slowly and dragging one paw, he broke the Clan’s ranks and limped into the forest. They followed quietly, Graystripe and Sandstorm on either side of him and Cinderpelt in the back of the group, helping the wounded and stragglers.
Soon, they came upon camp. Speckletail, the youngest elder, peeked her head out of the Elder’s den cautiously. The ginger leader could hear Sorrelkit, Rainkit, and Sootkit meowing quietly in there. Seeing it was only them, and not BloodClan invaders, Speckletail quietly receded and calmed the kits, who were claimed by their mother a minute later. Firestar watched as his clan padded towards their dens before curling up in his own and falling asleep.

Tallstar flicked his blue eyes from where his camp lay to where his Clan waited, behind him, fearing a possible attack from ShadowClan or BloodClan. Though they had been defeated, they knew the Camp was. That earlier battle had killed Gorsepaw, their only apprentice at the time.
The black-and-white leader tilted his head as his Deputy, Deadfoot, appeared next to him. “Do you want me to go?” He mumbled quietly. Tallstar blinked at him. Deadfoot’s ear was in shreads and there was a large scratch under one eye that was still bleeding a bit. He was dragging a hind paw and his tail looked a bit crooked, possibly broken. Not to mention the numerous scratches and bites on his pelt. Deadfoot should see Barkface, and not any enemy warriors. If there were an.
Tallstar shook his head. Before Deadfoot could protest, he darted into camp, holding his breath. The camp was empty. Sighing, he signaled with his long tail for everyone to come in. They all were flooding in within the minute and curling up in their dens. Tallstar did the same.

Blackstar blinked as his large, black paws sunk for the fifth time into the swamp. Sighing, he glanced at his clan, who were bravely following their leader, despite the fact that many were whimpering from the pain the swamp water was causing their wounds. He outwardly sighed, and Runningnose appeared at his side. He didn’t say anything, but the medicine cat gave his leader a look that plainly said, “This isn’t good for them, and you know it!”<br>
“Well what am I supposed to do about it?” He mumbled. Runningnose blinked, then fell back to the end to help a an apprentice that was falling back.
Blackstar almost yelled for joy when he saw the camp, silent and safe, looming ahead of him. Rowanpaw and Cedarpaw rushed ahead of him, straight into the apprentice’s den to sleep. He wished he was still energetic like that. The leader paused at the entrance to camp, letting everyone else go through before him. When everyone had gone through, he visited Runningnose to see who was severely wounded or dead, before heading to his den himself.

Leopardstar’s spotted pelt was stained with splotches of her blood and enemy blood. She sighed in relief as camp came into sight, and hurried ahead into it. Featherpaw glanced at her brother with a look that said, “We should have stayed in ThunderClan.” Stormpaw nodded.
The other cats were filing in behind the two apprentices and the leader, seemingly not caring about Leopardstar’s behavior. Featherpaw and Stormpaw paused at the fresh-kill pile, picking out a vole and waiting for the other apprentice in RiverClan, Dawnpaw. When she padded up and picked a vole, the three of them returned to their den, feeling completely satisfied that they had done a good job.
